I used to think the Random Access radio show is the funniest talk show on the air. But I must have temporarily lost my head. Random Access is the funniest show of ANY KIND on the air.
   I can prove it.
You can listen to a few short excerpts of a recent Random Access show and decide for yourself. They're all in MP3 format. Anyone with any kind of personal computer can play them.
Random Access is broadcast by WSYR radio out of Syracuse, a small city in the middle of the state of New York, in the eastern part of the United States. I realize that many of you are not from New York or even from the United States, so I'll describe the Syracuse area in brief. We have a few hundred thousand people, about twice as many cows, a few big companies and a lot of small ones, a couple of world-class universities, terrible winter weather, a once lovely lake in the middle of the greater metropolitan area, a few wandering rivers, a good newspaper and three totally wacko guys who do a radio show every Sunday about computers.
Those three crazy guys are Gene Wolf, Mark Yafchak and yours truly. If you can't hear the show live, you can download and listen to our Real Audio archives. The official Random Access radio show site has links to the archives and information about the three of us. It's at www.mediatrek.com.
The excerpts available here were all recorded during the same show. They are:

   The Naked Producer.

   One One One Two.
