To sign up for any of these classes, go to www.oasisnet.org/Cities/East/SyracuseNY/Classes.aspx. In the "Instructor" form, type FASOLDT. You can leave the other forms blank. Then click the Search button. All classes cost $18. You must be age 50 or older to attend.

iPad Basics, Tuesday 6/5/12 10:00 am - 12:00 noon

Learn simple techniques and tips for all models of the iPad. This is not just for new users; if you've never had any training on the iPad, this is also for you. Your iPad should have the latest iOS operating software (iOS 5 or higher). For help getting your iPad updated before class, call the local Apple Store. You will miss out on a lot in class if you haven't updated your iPad.

iPad Advanced Techniques, Tuesday 6/19/12 10:00 am - 12:00 noon

In this class you'll learn a dozen all-but-hidden features of the iPad (all models). The iPad Basics course is recommended as a prerequisite. Your iPad should have the latest iOS operating software (iOS 5 or higher). For help getting your iPad updated before class, call the local Apple Store. You will miss out on a lot in class if you haven't updated your iPad.

Mac Basics, Monday 7/2/12 10:00 am - 12:00 noon

Left behind by the computer revolution? We'll show you the real basics of a Mac--how to adjust your mouse (including a setting Apple keeps out of sight), how to rename anything, how to make sure something is moved and not just copied, how to find out everything your Mac knows about stuff on your computer, how a few window adjustments can make life with your Mac easier, and much, much more. Not for advanced users. Do not bring your Mac to class.
